Our Team

GLENN MASON
Barrister
Glenn has more than 25 years’ experience as a civil and family litigator. After finishing his Master's degree in law at Victoria University, he worked as a Judge’s Research Counsel for the District and Family Courts’ Judges of the Central Region before going into a Barristers’ chambers with more experienced colleagues. Initially Glenn's practice was mostly criminal and family law with some civil litigation but after 12 years of criminal law he left that to focus on family and civil litigation. Glenn's family practice still includes a component of Lawyer for the Child work.
The civil litigation now includes some employment work including appearances in the Employment Relations Authority and Employment Court. Trust, estate, relationship property and contractual disputes are the staple of Glenn's work. Glenn has appeared in the District, Family, and High Courts, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
While a win in court is professionally satisfying, a large part of Glenn's work is resolving cases outside of court. Sometimes that is not possible which is when the Courts and good representation are essential for there to be access to justice.
